African Painting (6)

This painting was made by Victor Galley, a young artist and dancer in a small village called Kopeyia, Ghana. He is a self-taught artist with an amazing eye for color! Each painting depicts life in a small village of Ghana.

I met Victor on a 2 week study to Kopeyia in the spring of 2003. I am selling his paintings so that he may earn enough money to travel to the United States, where he wishes to teach African dance. Therefore, I am not taking any profit from the selling of these paintings; all of the revenue will be given back to the artist.

Each painting is completely one-of-a-kind and comes unframed. They are painted on the backs of flour sacks! (See picture 3) Some of the paintings are a bit cracked from travelling so far in the mail, but all will look great on your wall unframed or framed behind glass. The paintings are about 1.5 by 2 feet.
